My whole family is originally from Audubon, and I happened to be in town for work. I stopped in for a coffee and ended up coming back a few days later for a breakfast burrito, which was great and big! The staff both times I came in were super friendly and happy. The feel of this place is great, warm, and cozy, and the decor is awesome. There's also a little gift shop area towards the from with local honey and other fun items. Will definitely be stopping in every time I'm back in Audubon.
I was really excited about this place because I love supporting non-chains. The coffee was decent. We ordered their Waldorf chicken salads and they were not good at all. I also ordered some of the tiny cinnamon sugar muffins from the case and those were excellent. Staff was friendly. Our food took long enough that I thought they’d forgotten us.
Traveling through Iowa presents many opportunities for coffee. We stopped in on one such trip and truly enjoyed the visit. The shop was adorable with lots of local merchandise for purchase. The naked goods looked really delicious but we needed breakfast. We ordered a breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy and a couple of house favorite lattes. We sat on the patio and waited for our food. There is a lovely garden out there really embodies a small town presence. The food and coffee were good, but the ambiance and the amazing staff made the trip well worth our stop.
Their coffee is delicious, food/deserts are amazing and Customer service is even better. I'm from out of town but frequent The Bakery on Boradway often because it is worth it! The make everyone feel welcome and like a local. They even remever my order! Absolutely recommend stopping in to try anything on their menu! Today, I got a chicken Cesar salad (pictured) Yum!
While staying in Audubon for a couple of nights, The Bakery was an amazing place for us to start our day! Lattes, and pastries were enjoyed on a beautiful, quiet Sunday morning in the absolutely cozy courtyard. The outside space was filled with garden lights, lots of seating and clever coffee décor. The lattes were perfect, pastries were fresh and delicious! Service was amazing and friendly. Inside the cafe was full of quaint gifts and local goods. Such a great place to visit for friends, family and visitors alike.
This has become a favorite weekend destination. Food is fresh, delicious and a nice variety to choose from. My husband enjoys the coffee and I like the chai tea. Plenty of seating and the atmosphere is cozy during the cold months. Looking forward to warmer weather as the patio looks just as inviting. A nice selection of items to shop while waiting with many from local vendors.
First off, the building itself is brilliant-lots to look at!! The food is beyond-so yummy. Great atmosphere and super friendly people.
Nice little bakery with muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, pies, etc. Good coffee, espresso drinks, hot chocolate, and smoothies. Breakfast and lunch served: sandwiches, salads, and soups. If you want their pastries, best to get in before 9 am - they usually go fast! Eat in or take out. There is a small shop for their coffee beans, hot chocolate, jams and preserves, candles, and the like. All the staff are friendly. Free parking in the street, but it can get full. Open beam ceiling with rustic country charm and great playlists!
